Kappa Data Pipeline Architecture

The Kappa architecture is a reference architecture for data processing for analytics and is used for processing streaming data. Jay Kreps is a CEO of Confluent introduced the reference architecture. This architecture aims to process real-time and batch processing for analytics with a single technology stack, as shown in Figure 4-10. It is based on a streaming immutable architecture in which data are stored in a database. The stream engine reads the data, transforms it into an analytical format, and stores it in an analytical database for query and data analytics and visualization.
